Disciple Making Movement
Imagine a movement of disciples making disciples who are making disciples. Imagine communities transformed by the gospel. Here at City Life Church, we believe in a disciple making movement (DMM). We aim to spread the gospel through disciples making disciples.
Discovery bible study
Discovery Bible Study (DBS) is a simple and reproducible inductive Bible study process that is being used in Disciple Making Movements around the world. The beautiful thing about DBS is that it is dependent upon the authority of God's Word and the illumination of the Holy Spirit. Scripture sets are provided to each DBS group and a list of DBS questions.
The goal of DBS is equipping people to hear from the Lord themselves and make more disciples. We believe that the Word of God, illuminated by the Spirit of God, will make the people of God.
DBS groups are small groups of people who gather around God's Word. DBS is the primary disciple-making process for City Life Church. Rather than have larger groups, we would prefer to have smaller groups that are multiplying.

How DBS works
Discovery Bible Study, or DBS, is a simple, inductive, obedience based discipleship tool to study God’s Word. This simple, nine-question strategy allows the Spirit of God to use the Word of God to make obedient disciples who teach others to do the same.
First, get a DBS coach. City Life can provide one for you. The DBS coach will help you learn the “ins and outs” of DBS. You will also be provided a scripture set, which is a list of Bible verses to use. Second, set a time and gather your lost family, friends, co-workers, or neighbors. Third, follow the questions below.
DBS Questions
1. What are you thankful for?
2. What concerns do you have in your life, community, and world?
3. How did you obey, share, and meet the needs from the last meeting?
4. Read, reread, and retell the Bible passage
5. What do we learn about God in this Bible passage?
6. What do we learn about people in this Bible passage?
7. How will you put this Bible passage into practice?
